What is it?
- A leadership development programme, plus group career coaching sessions, aiming to help people to join, or re-enter, the workforce, in a job market made challenging by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The programme will offer
- Two 2 hour leadership development training sessions, covering topics such as:
- understanding the difference between leadership & management
- developing your personal leadership style
- how to build a high performing team
- Two 2 hour career coaching sessions to support each individual through a job application process. Topics covered will reflect the needs of the group and could explore issues such as:
- how to write a good CV,
- how to prepare for an interview,
- how to create a positive first impression at interview
Applicants must be able to commit to 5 two hour group sessions, run live-on-line with regular breaks, due to start in September 2022 and which are fully funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency.
Who is it for?
- The course is open to 16 year olds and over, who are economically inactive and are living in the Thames Valley, Berkshire region;West Berkshire, Reading, Bracknell, Wokingham, Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead.
- In addition, the ESFA has highlighted four priority groups that it wishes to engage with:
- Participants over 50 years of age
- Participants with disabilities;
- Participants from Ethnic Minorities;
- Participants who are women.
So we especially welcome anyone within these groups.
